Company to Immediately Commence Sales of Diagnostics Products in Country
WATERBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov.
8, 2004--
DiaSys Corporation, (AMEX: DYX - News), a global diagnostic
products company, announced today that it has entered into an
exclusive distribution agreement with Repreclin S.A., a large
clinical diagnostics distributor based in Venezuela. Repreclin,
founded in 1988, is the exclusive distributor for Beckmann Coulter
Inc. and Instrumentation Laboratory SpA.
The distributor will represent the complete line of DiaSys'
products in Venezuela, including parasitology workstations,
consumables, urinalysis workstations, consumables, rapid tests,
ELISA tests and electrophoresis products.
Repreclin has five offices in Venezuela, with over 60 employees
to support sales and technical issues.
The company has distributed over 2,000 instruments in the country
and is the largest clinical diagnostics distributor to the Social
Security/Ministry of Health in Venezuela. The company has over
4 million parasites tested on the equipment it distributes,
along with a test volume of over 8 million urine samples annually.
